SUMMARY:Transition Your Wardrobe Sewing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us and learn basic sewing and design techniques to update your wardrobe to match your gender identity and style! Learning to sew is a great life skill to have\, you can make your own repairs and adjustments\, as well as repurpose old clothes to turn them into one of a kind fashion. No sewing experience necessary. Bring one piece of clothing you would like to upcycle. If you have a sewing machine or sewing needles and materials from home you want to use you are welcome to bring in and use during this session. We will have some sewing materials and tools on hand for you to use and get creative. Allies are also welcome to join. \nThis event is in partnership with Out Montclair. Visit https://outmontclair.org/ to learn more about their mission. \n   \n🎨 What Will I Make in the Class?\nParticipants will upcycle a piece of clothing they bring in for the workshop \n🛍️What should I bring?\nParticipants should bring one piece of clothing. Optionally participants can bring any additional fabric\, clothing\, buttons\, or embellishments that they want to use as part of their project. Participants can also bring any sewing tools or a sewing machine that they own and is in working condition. \n🎁 What Will I Take Home?\nOne piece of clothing they you upcycled during the class \n👪 What Age Group Can Participate In This Class?\nThis class is appropriate for Adults and Teens to participate in. Participants must be at least 14 years old or older and can work independently. SUMMARY:Game Night: A Very Fey Drag Dungeons & Dragons
DESCRIPTION:Adventurers! Join us for a fun and fantastical one shot D&D campaign\, facilitated by a magically whimsical Drag Dungeon Master. We embrace the quirky\, the chaotic\, and the downright silly. No experience necessary\, we welcome players of all skill levels. We’re all about having a good laugh and creating unforgettable memories together. Players aged 16 and up are welcome to play. This is a safe space for all\, including LGBTQIA+ and Neurodiverse folk. \n🐲 Players will be playing the one shot The Solstice Gala: Welcome\, Dear Players\, to the Seelie court’s Solstice Gala! Perhaps you’re a ranger or warlock who has harbored favor with an Archfey. Maybe you’re a native to the Fey wild looking to celebrate the Endless Sun. It’s possible\, even\, that you’re a mortal who has been whisked away and replaced by a changeling… who forgot they had a ticket to the Seelie Court’s largest party and now you’re filling their seat. Whatever the reason\, you have earned your way into Titania’s banquet celebrating the Fey Solstice\, when the Seelie Court welcomes continuous sun for the next century (in Fey time\, of course). Chaos is sure to ensue– it’s the Feywild\, after all. \nWe will be playing a fully home brewed one shot in D&D 5e with an emphasis on roleplaying. Characters are welcome to be any level 5-8 and we will be using the point buy system to build our sheets. While it may be tempting to play a level 8 bard with max charisma for a social one shot\, remember playing a low level fighter who can’t string elegance together to save their life might bring its own unique challenges and fun. We welcome you to the Feywild and hope you try the food and enjoy your stay! \n \n✒️ Upon sign up: Participants will be sent a discord invite and a consent form to fill out. This allows you to directly speak with the DM and establish what you are comfortable with in a Dungeons and Dragons game. \n🎨 What Will I Be Using?\nParticipants will be using character sheets\, dice and character models. \n🎁 What Should I Bring?\nParticipants will need to bring their own dice (or can purchase dice at the store for 15% off)\, and are encouraged to bring their own models if they have them. \n👪 What Age Group Can Participate In This Class?\nThis class is appropriate for Teens aged 16+ and Adults to participate in. \n🧑‍🏫 Who is Running this session?\nYour Dungeon Master is Pompton! the Drag Queen. \n \nPompton! the Drag Queen (she/they) is a New Jersey based long time D&D player and dungeon master. She started playing with 3.5 and has maintained a more analog style of play\, often resorting to pencil and paper even in their online games. Having a degree in Theatre\, Pompton! enjoys delving into character psyche and building narrative informed by her PCs’ stories and motivations. She recognizes the limitations of D&D and welcomes the rule of cool\, so swing for the fences. After hearing of Eclectic Boutique’s hunt for a drag DM\, Pompton!
