SUMMARY:Game Night: Dungeons and Dragons
DESCRIPTION:Adventurers! Join us for a fun and fantastical one shot D&D campaign. We embrace the quirky\, the chaotic\, and the downright silly. No experience necessary\, we welcome players of all skill levels. We’re all about having a good laugh and creating unforgettable memories together. Players aged 16 and up are welcome to play. This is a safe space for all\, including LGBTQIA+ and Neurodiverse folk. \n🐲 Players will be playing the one shot A Most Potent Brew: The party is sent to deal with a problem that should be instantly familiar to all rookie adventurers – exterminating giant rats that have taken up residence in a beer cellar. However\, if they are to achieve their goal our heroes are going to have to get their first taste of a real dungeon as they explore the ruins of an ancient Wizard’s Tower. \n \n✒️ Upon sign up: Participants will be sent a discord invite and a consent form to fill out. This allows you to directly speak with the DM and establish what you are comfortable with in a Dungeons and Dragons game. \n🎨 What Will I Be Using?\nParticipants will be using character sheets\, dice and character models. \n🎁 What Should I Bring?\nParticipants will need to bring their own dice (or can purchase dice at the store for 15% off)\, and are encouraged to bring their own models if they have them. \n👪 What Age Group Can Participate In This Class?\nThis class is appropriate for Teens aged 16+ and Adults to participate in. \n🧑‍🏫 Who is Running this session?\nYour Dungeon Master is Carrie Lowther. \n \nI have been an artist for as long as I can remember\, transitioning into digital art world well over a decade ago. I’m largely self-taught and in addition to being a digital artist\, I am dungeon master for D&D. I’ve been doing that for a few years and love to let my players do some truly off the wall stuff. I live by the rule of cool! Between teaching and being a dungeon master\, I believe that people should be able to just throw themselves into whatever they are doing and enjoy what they create/discover. DESCRIPTION:Come join us at the Newark Museum of Art for a family friendly exhibition. ECB will be providing a Junk Journaling Workshop during the Newark Museum of Art’s exhibition “Community Night: Journeys by Moonlight”. Stop in at any point during the exhibition to create your own handmade Junk Journal by upcycling various kinds of junk mail and card stock. You’ll also be able to embellish your junk journals with all kinds of embellishments\, including stickers\, stamps\, and more! \nThis workshop is open to the public who are attending the event. \n   \nEach participant will be able to make one junk journal. This new Socially Focused game mode exploded in popularity\, and is now the most popular way to play! Grab your wackiest decks and that bag of dice you use to track +1/+1 counters\, and get ready for the kinds bonds and memories that can only be forged across the gaming table! \nThis game session is also LGBTQAI+ and Neurodiverse Friendly. \nBe aware: While Commander is considered MtG’s most casual format\, that doesn’t make it the Simplest format. While most MtG players are more than happy to help nurture new players\, it’s good to have some experience with traditional 1v1 Magic. \nWhat you will need: At least 1 MtG Deck that’s legal for the Commander format.
