SUMMARY:Rug Tufting 101 Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to make your own custom rug! This rug tufting class will guide you through creating your own custom rug using a tufting gun. You’ll learn essential techniques for handling the tufting gun safely and effectively\, focusing entirely on mastering the craft since your design and yarn colors will already be prepared on the tufting frame. Once tufting is complete\, you’ll discover how to apply glue and backing to secure and protect your rug. The class finishes with the exciting step of trimming excess yarn\, revealing the final texture and look of your handmade rug. This hands-on experience combines creativity with practical skills to help you craft a unique\, personalized piece. \nThis is a great opportunity to make a fun gift\, to keep or to give. Invite your partner\, friends\, family\, or coworkers for a fun and creative day out. \nBring a mask if you are sensitive to yarn particles and chemical smells from glue.\n \nParticipants will be provided: Tufting Gun\, Monk Cloth\, Backing Fabric\, Yarn\, Tufting Frame\, Adhesive glue\, Adhesive spreader\, Portable Vacuum\, Scissors\, Shears\, Lint scraper \nParticipants will take home: A custom rug as big as 55×55 cm (21×21 in) \n___ \nPARTICIPATION \nThis In Person Class takes place at The Eclectic Chic Boutique located at 547 Bloomfield Ave\, Montclair NJ. \nAPPROPRIATE AGES FOR PARTICIPATION  \nThis class is appropriate for Adults and Teens to participate in. Participants must be at least 14 years old or older and can work independently. If a participant needs a caretaker or parent to assist with the project the assisting person does not need a ticket.  \nCANCELATION & RESCHEDULING \nIt is the Participant’s responsibility to contact us prior to the event if they are unable to attend for any reason. If we as the Organizers need to reschedule an event there is no rescheduling fee\, and participants will be notified of any changes \nParticipants are eligible for a refund if the request is submitted 7 days in advance of the class date. Participants who submit a request 6 days or less in advance are eligible for a 50% refund or an opportunity to apply credit to a future class. If participants cancel the day of the class or do not show up during the class time they are ineligible for a refund. \nThere is a $25 rescheduling fee to reschedule a class.
