Drag Dungeons & Dragons One Shot: Lodge in the Forest

Adventurers! Join us for a fun and fantastical one shot D&D campaign, facilitated by a magically whimsical Drag Dungeon Master. We embrace the quirky, the chaotic, and the downright silly. No experience necessary, we welcome players of all skill levels. We’re all about having a good laugh and creating unforgettable memories together. Players aged 16 and up are welcome to play. This is a safe space for all, including LGBTQIA+ and Neurodiverse folk.

🐲 Players will be playing the one shot Lodge in the Forest: Pompton! the Queen, a long time D&D nerd and horror movie fan, invites you to a leisurely, innocuous stay at her Lodge in the Forest™. Enjoy swimming in a crystal lake. Revel in childhood games like would you rather, truth or dare, or hide and seek. Perhaps a different game of truth or dare, this one released a year later? Gather and recount childhood stories of clowns and janitors. However you may choose to enjoy your stay, just don’t scream. This is a D&D 5e horror movie inspired one shot (and therefore may entail more character risk) for characters around 5th level. So bring your camp counselors, your horror movie enthusiasts, your escapers of death and join me on October 30th: I’d like to play a game.

✒️ Upon sign up: Participants will be sent a discord invite and a consent form to fill out. This allows you to directly speak with the DM and establish what you are comfortable with in a Dungeons and Dragons game.

🎨 What Will I Be Using?
Participants will be using character sheets, dice and character models.

🎁 What Should I Bring?
Participants will need to bring their own dice, and are encouraged to bring their own models if they have them.

👪 What Age Group Can Participate In This Class?
This class is appropriate for Teens aged 16+ and Adults to participate in.

🧑‍🏫 Who is Running this session?
Your Dungeon Master is Pompton! the Drag Queen.

Pompton! the Drag Queen (she/they) is a New Jersey based long time D&D player and dungeon master. She started playing with 3.5 and has maintained a more analog style of play, often resorting to pencil and paper even in their online games. Having a degree in Theatre, Pompton! enjoys delving into character psyche and building narrative informed by her PCs’ stories and motivations. She recognizes the limitations of D&D and welcomes the rule of cool, so swing for the fences. After hearing of Eclectic Boutique’s hunt for a drag DM, Pompton! Has decided to emerge from a drag hiatus to pursue a cause near and dear to her heart: being an unapologetic nerd.

🗺️ Where Does This Class Take Place?
This In Person Class takes place at The Player Agency is located inside Lackawanna Station Mall located at 1 Lackawanna Plaza, Montclair, NJ 07042.

🍿 Can I Bring a Beverage or a Snack?
Of course! You can also purchase food in the mall.

🚗 Where Do I Park?
Lackawanna Station has a paid parking lot but the first 45 minutes are free.

📅 What Happens If I Need to Cancel?
It is the Participant’s responsibility to contact us prior to the event if they are unable to attend for any reason. If we as the Organizers need to cancel or reschedule an event participants will be notified of any changes using the contact info provided to us in the ticket purchase.
Participants are eligible for a refund if the request is submitted 7 days in advance of the class date. Participants who submit a request 6 days or less in advance are eligible for a 50% refund or an opportunity to apply credit to a future class. If a participant cancels the day of the class or does not show up during the class time they are ineligible for a refund.
