Transition Your Wardrobe Sewing Workshop

Join us and learn basic sewing and design techniques to update your wardrobe to match your gender identity and style! Learning to sew is a great life skill to have, you can make your own repairs and adjustments, as well as repurpose old clothes to turn them into one of a kind fashion. No sewing experience necessary. Bring one piece of clothing you would like to upcycle. If you have a sewing machine or sewing needles and materials from home you want to use you are welcome to bring in and use during this session. We will have some sewing materials and tools on hand for you to use and get creative.

🎨 What Will I Make in the Class?
Participants will upcycle a piece of clothing they bring in for the workshop

🛍️What should I bring?
Participants should bring one piece of clothing. Optionally participants can bring any additional fabric, clothing, buttons, or embellishments that they want to use as part of their project. Participants can also bring any sewing tools or a sewing machine that they own and is in working condition.

👪 What Age Group Can Participate In This Class?
This class is appropriate for Adults and Teens to participate in. Participants must be at least 14 years old or older and can work independently. If a participant needs a caretaker or parent to assist with the project the assisting person does not need a ticket.

This In Person Class takes place at The Eclectic Chic Boutique located at 547 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair NJ.

🧋 Can I Bring a Beverage or a Snack?
No, we don’t recommend bringing food to this class to prevent spillage.

🚗 Where Do I Park?
We recommend parking in either the Maple Place Lot, located around the corner from the shop, or the Midtown Deck at 202 Glenridge Avenue Montclair. You can find more parking options on https://montclaircenter.com/parking/

📅 What Happens If I Need to Cancel?
It is the Participant’s responsibility to contact us prior to the event if they are unable to attend for any reason. If we as the Organizers need to cancel or reschedule an event participants will be notified of any changes using the contact info provided to us in the ticket purchase.
Participants are eligible for a refund if the request is submitted 7 days in advance of the class date. Participants who submit a request 6 days or less in advance are eligible for a 50% refund or an opportunity to apply credit to a future class. If a participant cancels the day of the class or does not show up during the class time they are ineligible for a refund.
