Valentine’s Day Japanese Flower Arrangement Workshop

Celebrate the season of love with a journey into the art of Japanese flower arranging. Ikebana is a discipline that goes beyond simply placing flowers in a container—it is a meditative practice that emphasizes nature, balance, and minimalism.

In this special Valentine’s  Day workshop, we explore the connection between the heart and the hearth. By focusing on line, form, and color, you will learn to express the delicate beauty of love through simple, intentional design.

🎨 What Will I Make in the Class?
Each participant will make one flower arrangement.

🎁 What Will I Take Home?
At the end of the class, each participant will take home their flower arrangement to display and enjoy.

👪 What Age Group Can Participate In This Class?
This class is appropriate for Adults and Teens to participate in. Participants must be at least 13 years old or older and can work independently. If a participant needs a caretaker or parent to assist with the project the assisting person does not need a ticket.

🧑‍🏫 Who is teaching this class?
Itoko Kobayashi
When I became a mom more than 20 years ago, I set out to create my own world through my art. I love to share my knowledge with those I teach and I want all of my students to enjoy their time with me. I love it when my students get to bring home something one of a kind at the end of every workshop.

🗺️ Where Does This Class Take Place?
This In Person Class takes place at The Eclectic Chic Boutique located at 547 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair NJ.

🧋 Can I Bring a Beverage or a Snack?
This is a short class and there will be lots of foliage clippings so best not to bring any food.

🚗 Where Do I Park?
We recommend parking in either the Maple Place Lot, located around the corner from the shop, or the Midtown Deck at 202 Glenridge Avenue Montclair. You can find more parking options on https://montclaircenter.com/parking/

📅 What Happens If I Need to Cancel?
It is the Participant’s responsibility to contact us prior to the event if they are unable to attend for any reason. If we as the Organizers need to cancel or reschedule an event participants will be notified of any changes using the contact info provided to us in the ticket purchase.
Participants are eligible for a refund if the request is submitted 7 days in advance of the class date. Participants who submit a request 6 days or less in advance are eligible for a 50% refund or an opportunity to apply credit to a future class. If a participant cancels the day of the class or does not show up during the class time they are ineligible for a refund.
